ETI Webinar - 2 December 2015 - SAIT Feedback A follow up on questions from a recent SAIT ETI webinar. 1. Question: Against what do you calculate e.t.i and how % -if its against a PAYE amount what %? Please refer to the  DRAFT GUIDE TO THE EMPLOYMENT TAX INCENTIVE. There are detailed examples of how ETI is calculated. It is calculated per employee per month based on age, employment date and remuneration. 2. Question: Does the first calendar month comprise of 12 calendar months or 12 qualifying months?  I am not sure if I understand your question correctly. I have included 2 examples below. If you need further clarity please let me know. ETI calculated per employee starts first month you claim for that employee. E.g. if you started claiming for employee X Jan 14  and qualified each month his first 12 months would end Dec 14. In this example it is important to amend the payroll data in March 2014 to...
